| Description: | Top Notch Faculty![]() Deke Sharon Heralded “The Father of Contemporary A Cappella” (Entertainment Weekly), Deke Sharon is a producer (NBC’s The Sing Off), music director (Pitch Perfect), arranger (Broadway’s In Transit), community leader (founding CASA, BOCA,CARAs, ICCA, CAP, Camp A Cappella), author of 7 books, and performer since the age of 8, sharing the stage with the likes of Pavarotti, Ray Charles, and James Brown while pioneering and popularizing the sound of modern a cappella. Darin Drown Darin Drown taught high school vocal music for 32 years in Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado, and retired from Grandview High School in the Cherry Creek School District in Aurora, CO in 2024. The choirs from his high school performed several times at the Colorado Music Educator's convention over the years, and consistently received Superior ratings at state and regional festivals. He was twice named “Teacher of the Year” in two different schools over his career, and School District Teacher of the year one time. Darin directed the Sound of the Rockies chorus for 15 years in the Barbershop Harmony Society, and the chorus received international medals 7 times under his direction, reaching as high as 3rd place, and led the Velvet Hills Chorus in Colorado Springs, CO in the Sweet Adelines Inc. to two international contests. Darin coaches barbershop quartets and choruses all over the world. He also sings baritone in the BHS 2010 International Champion quartet, Storm Front. He is a certified EFP in Estill Voice Proficiency. ![]() ![]() Jordan Travis Jordan Travis, the Founder and Artistic Director of Voices Unlimited, has been the driving force behind numerous musical ensembles, projects, and experiences in the Halton/Hamilton, Ontario area. With a deep-seated passion for music and teaching, especially vocal music, Jordan has made a remarkable impact on the local and international music scene. Jordan’s journey in music began with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Toronto, where he honed his craft under the guidance of some of the industry’s finest teachers in vocal performance, pedagogy, and choral conducting. As a gifted singer, decorated performer, and influential coach, Jordan has captivated audiences and inspired students worldwide. His expertise has been showcased through workshops, coaching sessions, and performances across the globe, including prestigious engagements at BinG Harmony College, BABS Music Director’s Academy, Harmony College in Holland, the Association of British Choral Directors, and Harmony University in Nashville. His dedication to vocal excellence and his ability to inspire both singers and audiences alike make Jordan Travis a true luminary in the world of vocal and choral music. |
